Author Guidelines

Authorship Criteria & Responsibilities

Authorship is based on following four criteria:

  1. Substantial contribution to study conception/design, data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation

  2. Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for important intellectual content

  3. Final approval of the version to be published

  4. Accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the work

Ghost, guest, and gift authorship are strictly prohibited.

Author Contribution Form

All authors must submit the Cureon Author Contribution Form at submission, including complete affiliations and contact details. The author list must be finalized at submission.

Order of Authors

  • Authorship order must be agreed upon before submission.

  • Changes after submission are not permitted except in exceptional circumstances with:

    • Written justification

    • Approval from all authors

    • Editorial consent


Role of the Corresponding Author

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Communication with the editorial office

  • Accuracy and integrity of the manuscript

  • Submission of all required forms

  • Final proof approval

  • Conflict of interest disclosure on behalf of all authors


Peer Review Process

Cureon follows a double-blind peer review process:

  • Initial editorial screening for scope, ethics, and quality

  • Review by at least two independent external reviewers

  • Identities of authors and reviewers remain confidential

  • Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ recommendations

Peer review timeline: Completed within 8 weeks of submission.


Publication Ethics & Malpractice Statement

Cureon adheres to COPE guidelines on publication ethics. Any form of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or unethical research practices will result in rejection or retraction.


Duplicate & Redundant Publication

Manuscripts must be:

  • Original

  • Unpublished

  • Not under consideration elsewhere

Any overlapping or related publications must be disclosed at submission.


Conflict of Interest Disclosure

All authors must declare financial and non-financial conflicts of interest and include a “Conflict of Interest” statement in the manuscript.

Examples include funding, employment, consultancies, grants, stock ownership, honoraria, patents, or equipment support.


Ethical Approval & Informed Consent

For research involving humans:

  • IRB/Ethics Committee approval or waiver is mandatory

  • Informed consent procedures must be described in the Methods section

  • Ethical approval documents may be requested at any stage


Article Categories & Manuscript Guidelines

Original Articles

  • Word limit: 2000–2500

  • Abstract: Structured (Background, Methodology, Results, Conclusion)

  • Tables/Figures: Max 5

  • References: 20–30 (≥50% from last 5 years)

  • Ethical approval: Mandatory

Clinical Practice Articles

  • Word limit: 1500–1600

  • References: 15–20

Evidence-Based Reports

  • Minimum 10 cases

  • Word limit: 1000–1200

  • Tables/Figures: Max 2

Short Communications

  • Word limit: 1000–1200

  • References: Max 6

Systematic Reviews / Meta-Analyses

  • Word limit: 3000–4000

  • References: Minimum 30

Narrative Reviews

  • Word limit: 3000–4000

  • References: Minimum 40

Letters to the Editor

  • Word limit: 400

  • Authors: Max 3

Editorials

  • By invitation only


Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Cureon does not charge any submission, processing, or publication fees, and all editorial decisions are made solely on academic merit.


Archiving & Preservation

Cureon ensures long-term digital preservation of its content through secure journal archiving systems and backups, ensuring permanent accessibility.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.
